KaspaBeat — live generative music from the Kaspa BlockDAG
KaspaBeat turns the Kaspa blockchain into music as it happens. Every note you
hear is a real block: the block hash chooses the pitch, how busy the DAG is decides
how busy the arrangement gets, orphaned blocks trigger drum fills, and a wide
parallel depth opens the chords from sevenths into ninths and elevenths. Nothing is
pre-recorded and nothing is random — the same blocks always compose the same music,
so a session is reproducible from the chain itself.
There are thirty-four genres, each with its own tempo, drum kit, chord voicing,
bass idiom and mix character — house, techno, drum and bass, hip hop, trap, jazz,
bossa nova, gospel, metal, afrobeats, amapiano, salsa, cumbia, dub, reggaeton and
more. Nine visualisations draw the same data on a canvas: the DAG itself, a
waterfall, a mandala, a piano roll, ripples, a starfield, a spectrum, an aurora,
and strata that lay down one band of sediment per block.
It runs entirely in the browser using the Web Audio API, reads public data from
api.kaspa.org, stores nothing about you, and is free. JavaScript is required
because the music is synthesised in your browser rather than streamed.
